Once your agent is configured, choose how people reach it. Most teams start with a Bolna phone number and outbound calls, then add inbound calling, batch campaigns, or their own telephony as they scale.

Get a phone number

Buy a number

Purchase a US or Indian number from the dashboard and attach it to an agent.

140 & 160-series

Get regulated series numbers for promotional and transactional calling in India.

Truecaller verification

Show your business name and logo to the people you call.
Before buying numbers on Bolna, submit a one-time compliance application. See the documents required and how to submit them.

Make and receive calls

Outbound calls

Place a single call from the dashboard or POST /call.

Batch calls

Upload a CSV and schedule a calling campaign.

Workflows (beta)

Run multi-step sequences such as call, retry, then follow up on WhatsApp, over a contact list as a campaign.

Inbound calls

Link a number to an agent so it answers every incoming call.

Web calls

Let users talk to your agent from the browser over WebRTC. See the starter templates and SDK reference.
New to calling? Follow the inbound quickstart or the batch calling API quickstart. Inbound agents can also route callers through an IVR, identify callers and block unwanted numbers. Keep campaigns healthy with auto-retry for calls that did not connect and calling guardrails to restrict calls to allowed hours. During a call you can hang up programmatically or collect keypad input.

Connect your own telephony

Use your existing carrier account instead of a Bolna number. See telephony setup to compare the options.

Twilio

Connect your Twilio account.

Plivo

Connect your Plivo account.

Exotel

Connect your Exotel account.

Vobiz

Connect your Vobiz account.

SIP trunk

Bring any SIP trunk (BYOT).
For a SIP trunk, start with setup, then use the API examples and field reference to create it.

Before you go live

Work through the launch checklist and test your agent before it calls real customers.
